Here is another one she made, using the Broderie Perse method, with just three fabrics from her collection, plus our Suede basics in the background:
She is amazing! She takes ribbons, baubles, and fabric and comes up with fantastic decorations.
Her latest pieces are coasters – quick and easy, and very useful. Also great as gifts!
She makes a 4 ½” quilt block , two layers of batting, and 1 ¼” wide bias binding (the stripe in her collection is great for this!). Add a little quilting (hand or machine), a grommet hole, and voila!
Take four of the blocks and sew them together for a cheerful trivet.
Susie used both cotton batting and a layer of Insul-Bright to absorb the heat.
We had a few ideas too, for her fabric collection, like this cute little girl’s dress, which is Kwik Sew pattern #3698.
