We have had such a positive reaction to What a World! Jill McDonald’s collection has been a hit with teachers, quilters, sewers, kids, moms, grandmas and many others. What’s not to like? There’s really a lot you can do with this collection. You saw the free quilt pattern from the previous blog (scroll down if you didn’t see it). We also sewed this cute summer outfit – it’s McCall’s pattern 6099.
Sandy Lueth of Totes by Sandy made this sensational beach bag with the What a World stripe and a floral from Soul Garden. It’s her “Connie’s Tote” pattern. You can see more of her work at www.totesbysandy.com.
We also made some fun cube pillows. These are lightly stuffed, so they’re squishy, but they can be stuffed much more firmly, and used as bolsters, toys and bed pillows.
We saved the best for last! The April/May issue of The Quilter features this terrific quilt by Nancy Mahoney. You can find directions in the magazine.
